Checklist of Alien Vascular Plants of Hungary and Their Invasion Biological Characteristics

As part of the PADAPT project, authors compiled invasion biological database alien vascular flora Hungary, which contains nativeness, residence time, introduc- tion mode and status 878 or cryptogenic taxa. In absence adequate evidence, classification some species was only possible into uncertain, transitional cat- egories. The definitions most categories are compatible with several international termi- nologies, but primarily based on Central European traditions. Of 560 taxa that have already been naturalised in 85 invasive, 22 them transformer plants. Only 5 these transformers included list Invasive Alien Species Union concern ( Ailanthus altissima, Asclepias syriaca, Elodea nuttallii, Heracleum mantegazzianum H. sosnowskyi ), require uniform preventive interventions treatments throughout continent, while rest Hungary (e.g., Robinia pseudoacacia, Fallopia × bohemica Solidago gigantea ) draw attention to unique, local and/ regional situation Pannonian Basin Europe.
